What is Somatic Woman?

Somatic Woman is a six-month immersion in yoga, science, and somatic education for women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.

Led by Judith Hanson Lasater, Mary Richards, and Lizzie Lasater. Six live workshops. Prerecorded curriculum. A community of women doing this work together. Enrollment closes May 20, 2026.

Menopause is not a mistake.

A short video to show you what we mean.

You used to trust your body. You want to again.

Something shifted. Maybe it was the sleep. Maybe it was the brain fog. Maybe it was the anxiety that arrived without explanation. Maybe it was the moment your practice stopped working the way it always had.

You're not looking for a quick fix or a wellness trend. You're looking for someone who understands what's actually happening in your body, and can help you practice with clarity instead of confusion.

That's what Somatic Woman is.

Six months of grounded, science-informed yoga education that helps you move from managing this transition alone to being guided through it with warmth, intelligence, and real skill.

What changes with us.

You stop guessing and start understanding what's happening physiologically.

You learn to practice in a way that supports your body now, not the body you had ten years ago.

You build both strength and the capacity to rest, because you need both.

You feel less alone. You're held in a community of women who get it.

You come home to your body again.

How the course works.

Each month includes:

  • A two-hour live workshop led by Judith or Mary with Active Asana, Restorative Yoga, and Q&A.
  • A science session with yoga therapist Mary Richards, with a downloadable cheat sheet.

  • A guided Savasana from Judith Hanson Lasater.
  • Journaling prompts, homework, and reading recommendations.
  • Everything is recorded. Three spacious years to access all the material.

Six live workshops on Zoom in 2026.

All workshops are recorded if you can't attend live.

  • Month 1: Embracing Menopause on May 20 with Mary Richards

  • Month 2: The Menopause Brain on June 10 with Judith Hanson Lasater

  • Month 3: The Menopause Bed on July 1 with Judith Hanson Lasater

  • Month 4: The Menopause Heart on September 9 with Mary Richards

  • Month 5: The Menopause Belly on October 7 with Mary Richards

  • Month 6: Beyond Menopause on November 4 with Judith Hanson Lasater

Three months in, I feel a deep shift—29 years post-menopause. I’m more at ease, more intuitive, and more compassionate with myself. This course is a true gift.

Pain Lessens, Joy Returns

Carla

This course rekindled my yoga practice after health challenges. I feel more like myself, with less pain and—more importantly—less attachment to pain.

FAQ

  • What is your refund policy?

We offer a 95% refund within one week of enrollment. Email us and we'll reverse the charge (minus credit card processing fees). No questions asked.

  • What if I can't make a live workshop?

All six live workshops are recorded and available inside the course.

  • How long do I have access?

Three spacious years from the day you enroll.

  • I took Somatic Woman in 2024. Should I enroll again?

The prerecorded curriculum is the same, but all six live workshops are brand new. This material rewards revisiting, and many of our students come back for exactly that reason.

  • Will you offer this course again?

We have no plans to run Somatic Woman again in 2026. If we offer it in the future, it may be at a higher price.

  • I'm not a yoga teacher. Is this for me?

Absolutely. This course is designed for practitioners and teachers alike.

  • Can I receive Yoga Alliance credit?

Yes. You'll receive a certificate of completion for 30 non-contact hours.

  • What props do I need?

A sticky mat, 1 bolster, 1 eye cover, 2 blocks, and 6 firm blankets. We also recommend Judith's book Restore and Rebalance and Mary's book Teach People, Not Poses.

  • I have another question. Who can I ask?

Please email Sarah Jane at [email protected].
