Have you lost touch with yourself?

Are you overwhelmed by the demands on your attention?

Are you longing for relief from the perpetual state of digital distraction?

Do you feel constantly pulled in a thousand directions? At the mercy of external stimulation? Too easily triggered?

Have you forgotten how to focus? Like really narrow your attention, without interruption, to read, or write, or nourish your soul with creativity?

Do you sometimes feel hopeless that you’ll ever be able to re-connect with the spacious silence within?

You are not broken. You just need refuge.

What if you could find an embodied sense of re-connecting with your inner wisdom? How grounding would that feel?

The longing for refuge is inherent to what it means to be a human being.

Refuge is not a location, it is an intention.

Refuge is not running away, but choosing what you want to move toward.

And refuge is available to you, right now, on your yoga mat.

How can we find refuge?

Refuge is a central theme in the wisdom tradition of yoga.

This self-paced immersion explores how you can find your own special refuge in the midst of your busy life.

We examine how you can live grounded in that space of refuge every day.

How does this immersion work?

This immersion is self-paced, which means all sessions are available to you as soon as you enroll.

The sessions are designed to be watched about once a week.

Each 2.5-hr session contains a discussion and practice, and includes some personal homework assignments to think about before you watch the next session.

Mostly, we deepen our understanding of refuge by experiencing it together on the mat.

The four sessions  focus respectively on:

  • Physical refuge

  • Emotional refuge

  • Mental refuge

  • Spiritual refuge

Refuge must not be just understood, it must also be felt in the body.

Together we practice active asana, pranayama, Restorative poses, and meditation to experience what they can each teach us, specifically, about refuge.

A beautiful step into consciousness of how we live our lives "in the present moment" of each day, each hour, each moment. "Staying present" and finding that "refuge" within the center of our bodies, (brain, heart, and belly) is a tool of peace. I love the brilliant honesty of Judith and Lizzie as they share their imperfect episodes of their real day to day lives and show us their practice of finding refuge. They help us embrace the "human side of ourselves"; with the sweetest chuckle "O how human of me" Not perfection. Stop the fighting with our own minds......and they laugh and share with us a personal journey of practicing, practicing and getting better day by day. Thank you dear friends and teachers. I look forward to this Sunday of Refuge within my Self! Excellent 5 Star course! 🌟♥️☀️
