Study Restorative Yoga with Judith Hanson Lasater, PhD, PT, in a rare yearlong training grounded in physiology, the practice of deep rest, and silence.

This online program offers a spacious 12 months of learning, live calls, and community.

It gives you the time and space to absorb the practice fully, guide others with confidence, and reconnect with yourself in a meaningful way — all at a pace that honors your nervous system.

Your year of rest begins now.

Let this year with us support healing your body and downshifting your life. If you join before January 1, you will also receive our Meditation Intensive, a $499 bonus.

Rest Changes Everything

You know you need to rest. You feel the exhaustion. You sense the strain in your body and the noise in your mind. But knowing you need rest is not the same as knowing how to rest.

Restorative Yoga gives you the missing how. It offers specific positions, clear support, and a reliable framework that down-regulates your nervous system in an embodied way. It reduces your body’s chronic stress response, balances blood chemistry, supports immune function, and protects long-term health by lowering inflammation.

This is a skill you can learn and return to for the rest of your life.

A year of study allows this skill to take root. You learn how to create the conditions that support your own nervous system, and you learn how to offer that same support to others. The result is not only more ease, but a way of living that feels clearer, steadier, and sustainable.

What You’ll Gain This Year

Over the course of this year, you’ll build the practical and embodied skills that make Restorative Yoga a lifelong resource for yourself and for those you teach.

  • How to work with props to create positions of ease and true support

  • The physiology of rest and how to encourage the parasympathetic response

  • How to sequence and teach the ten core Restorative Yoga poses

  • Voice, pacing, and the quiet authority of teaching stillness

  • Restorative sequences for exhaustion, menopause, insomnia, and chronic stress

  • How to observe without pushing and guide without performing

  • How to hold space that feels safe, spacious, and grounded

  • How to cultivate a Restorative Yoga lifestyle in simple, sustainable ways

How the Training Works:

This year blends an immersive beginning with steady support, giving you time to learn Restorative Yoga in a way that feels grounded and sustainable.

  • March Immersion: We begin in early March with eight live Zoom sessions. Each gathering includes lecture, partner work, Q&A, and plenty of practice. You’ll learn propping, physiology, sequencing, and the ten essential Restorative Yoga poses.

  • Monthly Calls: After the immersion, we meet for ten monthly calls. We take August completely off to rest from resting. Each call explores a new Restorative pose to keep your practice fresh and to support your growing confidence as a teacher and practitioner.

  • Practice Pods: You’ll have the opportunity to join a small group of students based on your time zone. Pods can choose to meet independently via Zoom or stay connected in a WhatsApp group.

  • Immediate Access: When you enroll, you receive instant access to pre-recorded lectures to begin your immersion in the art and science of Restorative yoga.

  • Replay Library: All live sessions are recorded so you can revisit the material anytime for three years.

  • Optional Certification: If you wish, you may complete a final project to become a certified Relax and Renew® Level 1 trainer.

  • Expert Guidance: Judith Hanson Lasater, PhD, PT, leads every session, with Lizzie Lasater hosting and supporting your learning across the year.

This structure gives you depth at the beginning and space across the year, allowing the practice to settle into your body and your teaching with clarity and ease.

A Rare Chance to Study with Judith

Judith Hanson Lasater, PhD, PT, has been teaching yoga since 1971. She has written two books on Restorative Yoga and brings more than five decades of experience guiding students into deep rest. Her teachings come from a lifetime of study, practice, and presence. They are the kind of teachings that cannot be rushed or reproduced.

Opportunities to learn directly from Judith are becoming fewer. This year-long training offers the depth, time, and attention needed to receive her wisdom in a way that is both personal and lasting.

If you have ever wanted to study Restorative Yoga with Judith, this is the moment. A chance to learn from her while she continues to teach, and to carry her teachings forward in your own practice and community.
