Learn to Teach Restorative Yoga

We work very hard in our lives, and while we may sleep, we rarely take time to rest. Restorative Yoga poses help us learn to relax and rest deeply and completely. During deep relaxation, all the organ systems of the body are benefited, and a few of the measurable results of relaxation are the reduction of blood pressure and the improvement of immune function, as well as improvement in digestion, fertility, elimination, and the reduction of muscle tension and generalized fatigue.

In this Level 1 workshop, you will learn the art and skill of teaching Restorative Yoga. All aspects of the subject will be covered, including the physiology of relaxation, the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of Restorative Yoga, special poses for menstruation, pregnancy and menopause, and how to sequence and teach a class in Restorative Yoga.

Thousands of yoga teachers from all over the world have been trained by Judith. Join us to see what drew them to learn about Restorative yoga and the magic is creates for their students.

FAQ

  • When does my access expire?

We want you to feel spacious with time, so you have two years to access the pre-recorded and live session on the course learning platform.

  • Do I need to attend all live sessions to receive certification?

Just like in a live workshop, if you plan to complete your report and pursue certification from Judith Hanson Lasater (additional fee of $150) you must attend all eight live sessions. No exceptions.

  • But I live in Australia. The live Zooms are from 2am-6am Melbourne time. Any way I can still get certified without joining the live calls?

So sorry. Time zones are the worst. The sessions will be recorded, but you'll miss all of the partner work - which is critical. So no.

  • I've already taken your "Relax and Renew® Level 1" course in person. Will I learn anything new?

We hope so. This course is Level 1 but in a new re-organized format so that it works online.

  • Do I need any additional materials?

The required texts are Judith's books, "Relax and Renew" and "Restore and Rebalance". Also you will need the following props: 1 sticky mat, 2 bolsters, 1 eye cover, 2 blocks, and 6 firm blankets.

  • Can I receive Yoga Alliance credit?

Yes. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of completion for 50 non-contact hours. After that, you can submit for continuing education credit from Yoga Alliance or equivalent organization.

  • What if I'm not good with computers? Or on Facebook?

No worries, this course is designed to be as easy to navigate as possible. Plus we are always here to help with technical questions via email. There is no Facebook group for this course.

  • What is your refund policy?

Because this course is strictly limited to 108 students, we can only offer a refund if we are able to fill your spot. In that case, a $50 transaction fee will be withheld.
