Join us for this online Relax and Renew® training, co-taught by Judith Hanson Lasater, PhD, PT, and her daughter, yoga teacher and content creator Lizzie Lasater. 

Together, they will guide you in learning the essentials of Restorative Yoga, a practice that fosters deep rest, healing, and the transformative power of silence.



What is Restorative Yoga?

Restorative Yoga is the use of props to create positions of ease and comfort that facilitate relaxation and health. 

This practice activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which governs essential functions like digestion, immunity, and hormone regulation. 

By fostering deep relaxation and integrating the power of silence, Restorative Yoga allows for profound recovery and a return to the body’s natural rhythms.

  • Teaching Restorative Yoga: How to sequence and guide students into stillness with the 10 core poses of this practice.

  • Supporting Exhaustion Recovery: Practical tools for helping students recovering from burnout and chronic stress.

Course Structure:

The course blends pre-recorded videos with eight live Zoom classes. 

Each live class includes a mix of lecture, demonstrations, partner work, and live Q&A with Judith and Lizzie.

Live Zoom Classes: March 10th, 12th, 14th, 17th, 19th, 21st, 24th, 26th

Classes runs from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM Pacific Time, with a 30-minute bio break.

Miss a Live Session? Don’t worry—every session is recorded. While live participation is encouraged, you can still fully engage with the course material by watching the recordings. 

(Note: Partner work takes place in private breakout rooms and therefore not recorded).

Ready to dive deeper? We're offering a Relax and Renew® Mentorship Program. This includes 10 additional Zoom sessions with Judith and Lizzie, running from April 2025 through February 2026.

The mentorship program is open to anyone who has previously taken Relax and Renew® Level 1 in person or online.

This is not equivalent to Relax and Renew® Level 2, but the mentorship program covers advanced topics in teaching Restorative Yoga, providing personalized guidance and ongoing support as you refine your teaching skills.

A pioneer of Restorative Yoga, Judith has taught thousands of students worldwide.

With over five decades of teaching experience, Judith’s unique approach blends her knowledge of physical therapy and yoga to support deep, conscious rest.

Who is Lizzie Lasater?

Yoga teacher, content creator, and daughter of Judith Hanson Lasater, Lizzie co-teaches the course. 

As a working mom of five-year-old twin boys, she understands the urgency of building resilience into her yoga practice and life.

With a background in vinyasa yoga and a Masters in Architecture, Lizzie brings a modern perspective to the course.


 

Who are the assistants?

The course is supported by a team of Relax and Renew® certified teachers lead by Adelene Cheong. Most of the assistants have previously helped Judith and Lizzie at in-person workshops and online trainings.

They bring their impressive knowledge, enthusiasm, and empathy into the live classes to reinforce your learning. 

The assistants host several live 30-minute Q&A sessions after the classes. This is your chance to review the material and get your personal questions answered.
