Practical Presence

Creating Space for Meditation in Your Life

Do you think of meditation as “just one more thing you have to do”? Or do you sometimes find yourself wishing you could establish a regular meditation practice?

Join Lizzie Lasater and Judith Hanson Lasater for ninety minute session on how to integrate meditation into your life in a more seamless way. In our class we will share a short talk followed by two practice sessions.

Find that place of stillness and ease which is the most real part of who you are. Join us to remember how good it feels to invite stillness into your mind, heart, and belly, and to be present with your life the way it is right now.

Recorded live: Friday, November 12th, from 10:30 am to 12 pm Pacific time.

Preparing for Class

  • Prepare your physical space: gather the cushion/chair/bolster you need to support your physical body in comfort for seated meditation, dress warmly, and close the door.

  • Prepare your digital space: close all other programs on your device, turn off notifications, and put your phone on airplane mode.

  • And lastly, prepare your family/roommates to support your practice: let them know that ninety minutes without interruption is a gift they can give you.
