Graceful Aging:
Osteoporosis
Strength-forward yoga for your bones, balance, and posture. Grounded in science. Designed for the body you are in right now.
Mary Richards · Lizzie Lasater

It’s time to rethink your yoga practice.
"One in two women over 50 will break a bone because of osteoporosis."
Maybe you have already received the diagnosis. Maybe you are watching your mother shrink. Maybe your last bone scan made you nervous. Whatever brought you here, you are right to take this seriously.
The good news: your bones are living tissue. They respond to load. It is not too late to build strength, improve your balance, and reduce your risk of fracture.
But not all movement is safe. Most fractures happen from flexion. Deep forward folds are contraindicated. What you need is a yoga practice designed specifically for osteoporosis, taught by someone who understands the science.
That is what this class is.
Yoga therapist Mary Richards, MS, C-IAYT, has been teaching since 1992. This two-and-a-half hour live class gives you the tools to practice safely, build bone, and move with confidence.

What you will learn:
- How to load bones and joints safely
- Standing work for balance and fall prevention
- Core and spinal extensor strengthening
- What to avoid and why
