Living Your Yoga Audio Course

A Class for Deeper Inquiry with Lizzie Lasater | taught by Judith Hanson Lasater

Course description

Welcome to our Sangha. Welcome to our community. Welcome to the conversation.

Join us for an intimate and honest discussion about the bittersweet nature of living our yoga.

Pull up a chair or a cushion, make yourself comfortable, and involve yourself in the discussion about the challenges and joys of this sacred practice.

This series of eight focused conversations explores techniques to incorporate the wisdom of yoga into your daily life. Each episode is paired with a chapter from the second edition of Judith's book Living Your Yoga: Finding the Spiritual in Everyday Life.

Judith and her daughter, Lizzie, step off the mat and into the world by discussing topics such as:

  • Ways to cultivate discipline
  • How to befriend attachment and aversion
  • Integrating worship into our lives

Working at your own pace, the course is organized in a “book club” style. You have unlimited access to the material - and the content does not expire. In this way, you prepare to listen to each episode by reading the corresponding chapter of Living Your Yoga: Finding the Spiritual in Everyday Life. Book sold separately.

Additionally each episode offers homework assignments designed to deepen your relationship with the material. The aim is to integrate your learning and inner transformation directly into your life. To that end, Judith offers concrete ways to apply the concepts with yourself first, and then with your loved ones, friends, and colleagues.

Rather than a lecture series, the format of the course is question and answer. Lizzie takes on the roll of student, asking questions that Judith answers out of her decades of experience teaching and living her yoga. Open to all levels, the philosophical discussions in the course are especially rich for teachers and longtime practitioners of yoga.

I have heard Judith say to "move in the direction of" in each course I have taken with her. I am grateful each time I hear this as I am reminded to practice patience with myself and forgiveness. A wonderful mantra for this journey. Thank you for this reminder.

Absolutely Fabulous!

I have enjoyed the deeper explanations of the chapters - learning how to work at a deeper level. Very Grateful.

I found each lesson to bring new insight to the yogic precepts I already 'knew'. The practice ideas were easy to incorporate, adding a new sense of adventure to my practice,(even after 20+ years on the mat.) I very much appreciated the comment early on, NOT to rush through the material, as I prefer to 'sip and savor' as I study and learn. I was surprised to get reminders to complete the course, as I personally did not need a reminder. I was committed to the class and enjoyed my time with it. Every workshop/learning experience w/JHL has really resonated with me and deepened my love of yoga. Lizzie is an exceptional and articulate interviewer, asking exactly the questions I held in my head. I thank you both.

Thank you so much for this Judith and Lizzie. I read and was touched by the first edition a few years ago and loved immersing myself in the second with both of you. What a beautiful relationship you have, and Judith your 'bucket' really holds water for me 😉 I am your student and sure wish that you would come to Toronto to teach again before you retire from your travels!

Living your yoga course

A wonderful course, clear and concise with plenty of food for thought and opportunities for self study. As i am a yoga teacher and also the daughter of a yoga teacher i enjoyed the discussion between Mother and daughter, a very familiar dynamic to me. Many thanks and i look forward to the other course in the bundle. Namaste
